About Our Founder

Sun McElderry has been leading ESG and communications strategy teams for more than 20 years for global corporations such as Coca-Cola, NVIDIA, MetLife, Bank of America, and UPS. As part of this work, he has partnered with C-Suite leaders to educate Boards of Directors, build comprehensive ESG programs, implement sustainable practices and policies, improve investor ratings and other metrics, and create branding and stakeholder engagement initiatives.

Sun helped to develop the U.S. Network of the United Nations Global Compact, is an advisor to Sustainable Brands, and edited the New York Times nonfiction bestseller Triangle: The Fire That Changed America, which traced the roots of modern corporate responsibility to the infamous Triangle Shirtwaist Factory tragedy. He is also the founder of the Black Corporate Responsibility Leaders Network, a by-invitation peer group of senior executives heading ESG/CSR at companies collectively representing more than $650B in market capitalization.

Sun was raised in Puerto Rico and New York City. He enjoys cycling, paddle boarding, and photography, and lives on Bainbridge Island, Washington with two teenagers and a Portuguese water dog who generally tolerate his antics.
